The details of your parking lots and garages that you have provided can only be of assistance to your local economy in all the ways detailed especially when driving costs are rising.

Parking Data

A presentation was give a while ago by me entitled: How the hell can a database of parking lots and garages be useful” because many people do not realise how everything has changed in the last 15 years.  But only the smart few realise is that the data that we collect will without doubt be used in ways that can only assist in improving the economy nationally as well as local to where it was collected.
• The navigation website www.aplacetopark4u.com.
On this website as part of its use for navigation purposes there is the ability of a driver to select the location, type, facilities for the disabled and babies etc.  The navigation website has the ability to transfer the exact location in Latitude and Longitude to your TomTom or Garmin such that a driver can be delivered to the principal entrance of the lot or garage.  The locality helps a visitor to go where he wants to go park close and convenient, complete his business, and perhaps spend money.
• The iPhone App “Nosey Parker” and the recently introduced  Windows7 Mobile App both at present only in the UK.
At their very simplest these apps provide all the facilities of the above website they can show you where you are and where the nearest lots or garages are, one user said “I have been travelling to X for years and your App showed me the location of a cheaper parking lot”, it has paid for itself in one trip.
• Customer Assistance.
Many businesses pay for the services of the Yellow Pages or as in the case of the UK the website www.yell.com so to have details of the location of lots or garages on the above website is critical to most small businesses.  This I know from personal experience when a solicitor complained that two parking lots near his business were not on the database, in today’s economic climate it is even more critical.
• Business Decisions
The data compiled about the numbers of lots or garages, stalls and tariffs is used in conjunction with other data to assist businesses in making important decisions including those regarding location.  MaMany companies have specialist departments whose principal purpose is to collate and analyse data to ensure that they are making the best choices. These "Spatialk and Location Analysts" help all businesses including those at an embryonic stage to make the right choices and maximise the chances of success.
• Research

Database Update Policy
The data is collated with the assistance of a data collection website, a direct data feed from one of the major parking management companies, data from two others and an agreement with another to supply data this year. The data collection website, this website, has been rebuilt and will not only be able to accept data from all car park owners or operators in the Canada but worldwide..
Data is updated regularly, starting in March when many prices are revised, with the target of updating at least 90% of all lots or garages on the database by the end of December, this will get harder as the amount of lots and garages increase.  As the data is provided by others and although every effort is made I regret it is not possible to warrant its accuracy or completeness.
